Fodboldspiller fra Nolaere, som både var anfører i landets to første landskampe og scorede dets to første mål.

Saleñes er en af de mest kontroversielle figurer i miseiransk fodbold. I en del af 20’erne blev han regnet for en af kontinentets allerbedste spillere. Denne status steg ham dog til hovedet, og med sine hysterianfald mod holdkammerater på banen og sin primadonnaopførsel uden for gjorde han sig generelt upopulær. Det resulterede i sidste ende i, at medspillere ofte undlod at spille bolden til ham og ignorerede ham i omklædningsrummet.

Det gjorde det heller ikke bedre, at “udlændingen” [[Pollinus Rofahew]] fik tildelt anførerbindet på [[NOLA|landsholdet]] — og senere, da Saleñes i 27 i [[Pollinus Rofahew|Rofahew]]s fravær var anfører i en kamp og troede, at han skulle bære bindet fast, var det allerede i kampen efter i stedet [[Victor Cosozi]], der fik æren.

Saleñes’ sidste krampetrækning — og fiasko — på [[NOLA|landsholdet]] var hans forsøg på at komme med i [[TIFO Gold Cup 30]]-truppen. Men landstræner [[Amandrino Señor]] valgte at se bort fra Saleñes, hvilket først fik den iltre mand til at kritisere trænere, medspillere og [[det nolaerianske fodboldforbund]] i meget skarpe vendinger, og siden nærmest knækkede ham.

Det blev ikke bedre af, at Saleñes brugte fire år på [[dommerskolen]] og blev smidt ud, fordi han ikke bestod anden del af uddannelsen. Han satte sig derefter for at få indflydelse i sin sidste klub, [[Union Vosa]], hvor man dog i første omgang var skeptisk og i anden omgang decideret afvisende over for hans planer om at føre klubben tilbage til tidligere tiders storhed.
