Fodboldspiller fra Klomarken. Noget overraskende blev venstrebacken med blot 16 landskampe på bagen udpeget til anfører for [[Klomarkens landshold]], da [[Steen Syversen]] gik af. Franz Jensen viste sig som en yderst motiverende og pålidelig ledertype, og de første 15 landskampe, hvor han bar bindet, tabte Klomarken ikke!

På klubplan fortsætter han med at imponere, uanset hvor han spiller, og han er en af de spillere, der har fundet sig til rette i både mindre og rigtig store klubber. De fem år i [[OFK Sumsar]] gav ham nærmest kultstatus på den ellers lidet bemærkede venstrebackplads, selvom klubben i de år ikke vandt nogen international titel.

Han overvinder modspillere ikke bare med sin kompromisløse nærkampstyrke, men tillige med smarte finter nede ved hjørneflaget, som ofte efterfølges af lange afleveringer præcist og parallelt med sidelinjen.
