Fik et par testkampe op til [[GC36]] i [[Baringers Land]] og imponerede landstræner [[Jan Olsson]] så meget under træningslejren i [[Venamo]], at den dominerende og fysisk stærke midtbanespiller fik en billet til slutrunden. Her fik han 3 kampe og var således med til at vinde verdensmesterskabet.
