Paliwski blev testet på landsholdet i en alder af blot 18 år. Dengang hed landstræneren Frantisek Zdenek Plombachr, og da Way Gorle med oprettelsen af den raliendanske profliga fra sæson 36 fik sit amatørhold med i den szogozianske liga, overtalte storklubbens træner — Plombachr — Paliwski til at spille for dette amatørhold. Men han nåede ikke at spille for holdet, for Plombachr valgte få uger efter at skifte til den ambitiøse kollonesiske klub WB Jynnastad/Luposasn og tage Ralek Paliwski med sig, nu på en toårig profkontrakt.
